Dear Angus Friends:
Ironwood Farms and Mile-Away Farms would like to extend a warm welcome to our sale in Oxford, North Carolina on June 17, 2006 at noon.
John and I have partnered up for this sale because of our belief that good quality Angus genetics are no accident. They are achieved through the use of proven AI bulls with an eye on birth weight, growth, maternal and special attention to carcass merit. We believe that this is the right formula to excel in the traits of economic importance. The females in this sale herd represent some of the best genetics that the Angus breed has to offer and are descendants of Scotch Cap 867, Rita 5H11, GAR EXT 2114, GAR EXT 704, GAR Scotch Cap 309 and LLF SC Patsy TR 111, to mention a few. We feel that the cattle offered are very predictable and will work in any herd.
As a partner in this sale Ironwood Farms has an opportunity to sell our donor cows and entire mature cow herd along with a few of our top ET heifers. We are committed to the growth of our embryo transfer program having recently purchased several young donor prospects. Debbie and I plan to continue on in the Angus business with our young ET herd and around 100 recipient cows.
We invite you to view the cattle anytime after May 15 at Mile-Away Farms and Friday afternoon, June 16 at the Southern Livestock Center.
